Originally from San Diego, Tamara moved to Richmond with her husband, Andy, to be closer to family. Having made a major move herself, she understands how much more goes into choosing a home than bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage. Today, Tamara and Andy are both in real estate with The Hogan Group. Tamara works with buyers and sellers throughout Richmond and the surrounding communities, and she is known for being deeply involved, highly responsive and fiercely protective of the people she represents. She listens closely, notices the details and is not afraid to speak up when something does not feel right.
Before real estate, Tamara earned a degree in Communications, a master’s degree in Psychology, and spent more than a decade owning and operating a yoga studio. That background shaped the way she works with people today: with empathy, honesty, calm under pressure and a genuine interest in understanding what someone really needs — not simply what they say they are looking for.
She also genuinely loves homes. Architecture, interiors, design, renovation possibilities and the way a space can completely change how someone lives all fascinate her.
When she is not working, Tamara is usually spending time with Andy, their children and grandchildren, doing yoga, or enjoying art, dance, design, music and travel.
